The cabin is north of Pentwater just a few blocks from one of the most gorgeous Lake Michigan beaches. Silver Lake and the famous sand dunes are about a 15 minute drive from the cabin.
Walk the beach, fly a kite, sun bathe, climb the sand dunes, play at the Lake Michigan Beach, soak in the warm water, eat at the fresh fish store, go into Ludington – shop, sight see, climb dunes, Climb the steps to the Water power plant, go into Pentwater to the cute little shops, rent a boat and go jet skiing or sailing, bike around the beautiful terrain, see the Lake Michigan sunsets, eat a picnic at the private Lake Michigan beach for homeowners, … play golf on some of the best courses in Michigan, spend a day at Silver Lake and ride the dunes…
At the end of the day come home for a camp fire and great company at our magical cabin.
This cabin has a new full bed with a twin trundle, a new sectional with a high end state of the art mattress and a sleeping loft that sleeps four comfortably. A screened in porch is great for a playing cards around the table. The fire pit is just waiting for you and your guests to come and surround the area with your voices, stories and laughter. We ask that there is no smoking in the house. And yes there is indoor plumbing.

- $95 cleaning fee
- Deposit of 1/2 of rental fee due to secure reservation. Balance due 60 days prior to date.
- CANCELLATIONS; A ninety (90) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than ninety (90) days prior to the arrival date will incur $100 booking fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within ninety (90) days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment. $50 cancellation fee. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund, unless cottage can be rented for those dates.

My kids Loved the cabin. I hate camping so I resisted the place but I felt I had to give it a shot. After just two days I fell in love. I slept in for the first time in a long time – it felt terrific! Everything was clean, I never saw a spider or a bug of any kind all week. We really enjoyed our stay. I love the campfire. It feels like your in the middle of nowhere and you won’t bother anyone. Truth is there are million dollar homes all up and down the road. Some of the houses near the lake are way cool. Every morning I got up to see the sunrise and walked to the beach down to the end of the road and back. It felt like time stood still – so peaceful. This is God’s country. Michigan has such beautiful sunset’s so be sure to plan your evening so you are on the beach at that time. To sit on the beach and watch the sunset is so relaxing. I love the little cabin. With five kids, a husband and a dog I thought we would have been on top of each other but we never were. The shower is so nice to rinse off before you go inside and wonderful at the end of the day. We used the bikes at the cabin and enjoyed playing volleyball at the beach. We went to the movies, went fishing at Bass lake and canoing. We had a total blast. Thank you for sharing your Sun Set Cabin with us

We stayed for the week because Silver Lake was sold out and this was all we could find – sorry but that’s the truth. We finished a project early and all my programming buddies decided to celebrate at Silver Lake and rent dune buggies and just have some good clean fun. The plan was to sleep at the cabin and hang out at the beach on Silver Lake. Well we working boys must be getting old because we got to the cabin and got us a nice rip roaring big fire going. We cooked some steak outdoors and drank some beers and started story swapping. We laughed the entire night away. What a great time. We did this every night. We enjoyed the area so much we only went to Silver Lake once and found the hectic tourist environment distasteful after enjoying the peace at the cabin and the Pentwater area. We will be back and we are going to Pentwater and staying at the Sun Set Cabin – Shower is Way Cool. Congratulations on your remodel – A + job

I went reluctantly! I HATE to camp and to me this was camping. I am a hotel girl. It was first week of June and it was cold and rainy – not my idea of a vacation. I whined for two days. I was cold. My kids turned on the electric fireplace and toasted the place very fast. Now that I was warm I decided to brave the beach as it was sprinkling just a little and hovering around 50 degrees.
The beach is beautiful and I decided I would try to have some fun. My kids put on their bathing suits and went swimming in the outlet. Lake Michigan did see a few toes but no brave souls. We laughed, we played board games, we roasted marshmallows over a campfire, we explored the town. I was able to find myself again. The cabin is very clean – I did not see one ant or spider during the time I was there.
Now the shower had me puzzled. I just did not feel like going outside to take a shower – how weird is that anyway? With my new attitude I decided I would give it a try without complaining. I can honestly say this was the coolest shower I have ever taken. It gives you privacy and I felt safe but what was really cool is their really is hot water that comes from the ceiling of the shower. There is about a foot or so of screening at the top of the shower so you can see the tree branches and sky. So close to nature and is beyond words.
OK I am converted.
I will be back this year with my kids to play on the beach and enjoy Michigan’s many seasons. I would even bring my family and stay if it was cold and 50 degrees and raining. I am now wondering what else in life I am missing out on because I have been such a wimp. My kids are thrilled. I refer to our vacation as luxury camping and I prefer that to staying in hotel rooms. I called to schedule my next week. I am looking forward to taking a shower again. I guess anything IS possible. I highly recommend you stay in this very cute and comfortable cabin. Thank you.
